Happy Birthday Barbie!

This past Thursday, Cornell Museum of American Art & Culture at Old School Square in Delray launched a Barbie exhibit celebrating Barbie's 50th birthday! More than 500 vintage Barbie Dolls, friends, family members and accessories were showcased in the exhibit. They also had a few people dressed as real life Barbie & Ken. It was a lot of fun & such a beautiful exhibit! It's the little things like this that I get to see that make me very happy! :)

Dave was covering it for a story so I went with him and his sister Lisa Came as well with her two kids, Alyssa & Austin. We thought the kids would love the exhibit, and they did!

They also had little crafts for kids to do! Here's Alyssa making a butterfly :)

Also there were a bunch of little miniatures people made on display. These are a couple of my favorite.

Henry's

A few weeks ago Dave and I ventured off on another food review! This time it was to Henry's in Delray, a fine dining restaurant.

It's owned by the same company that owns Bogart's Bar & Grille in the Boca Muvico, where we went a few months prior.

We were stuffed with much to eat and it all was very good. I will say though, that I did have higher expectations of this place. There food was good but there wasn't that wow factor, that something that sets them apart from the rest. I would have to say I prefer Bogart's a lot more.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our fun night!

Enjoy!

Our yummy dessert: Coconut Cream Pie with Oreo Cookie Crust! So tasty! Party in your mouth!

I love him! <333

Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo was a fun one this year! Dave & I spent it with his sister, Lisa and her kids, Austin & Alyssa. We went down to Uncle Julio's in Mizner Park in Boca. I couldn't believe how busy it was! Here are some fun pics of the night!

Austin dancing to the music!

Alyssa loved my sunglasses & her napkin!

Austin playing around in Mizner park.

Alyssa enjoying her Starbucks water.

Lisa & Austin at dinner.

Dave & I with the kids!
It was such a fun night with them! Uncle Julio's is the Mexican restaurant that flew Dave to Texas for the day to do a review of their Texas restaurant before the Boca one opened. Let's just say that his article brought them so much business that they comped our entire dinner that night!
Check it out, it's one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever experienced!

Norton Museum of Art.

So today my Art History class took a field trip to the Norton Museum of Art in downtown West Palm Beach. Last week in class I had coerced my teacher into letting us take a field trip there to see the Ansel Adams photography exhibit, seeing that it is ending in a few days.

Ansel Adams is one of my favorite Photographers because of his love for nature. He has incredible landscape photos, which is what I love the most. He captures the beauty of nature so well. Anyway there were many photographs I fell in love with and wanted to take pictures of but sadly the museum has a no camera policy & every room was heavily guarded! So no sneak attacks :( but I was able to sneak some pictures of the hallways and one room that makes you feel like your under the ocean! I was able to find some of my favorites on his website.

This was a favorite of mine, title: Thunderstorms, taken in New Mexico.

This was another favorite of mine, title: Thundercloud, taken at Lake Tahoe This one too! Title: Dogwood. I love these flowers!

I always have such a great time at the Norton. I love it there. It is so peaceful.
